4-Day Siem Reap & Angkor Archeological Tour
Day 1: Kulen Mountain (The Sacred Peak) & Beng Mealea Temple
-
Departure: 8:00 AM
-
Itinerary: We begin our journey by heading to Phnom Kulen, the most sacred mountain in Cambodia. This holy site is deeply revered by locals who come here daily to pray, leave offerings, and picnic by the waterfalls. You will explore the lush national park, marvel at the giant reclining Buddha, and see the River of a Thousand Lingas carved directly into the riverbed. At noon, we will descend the mountain and head to Beng Mealea. Located about 70 km northeast of Siem Reap, this spectacular, semi-ruined jungle temple remains one of the most mysterious and captivating sites of the Angkorian era.
Day 2: Tonle Sap Floating Village & The Roluos Group (The First Capital)
-
Morning: We will drive out to a vibrant floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. Here, you will witness how local communities seamlessly live and work on the water, and we will take a stroll through a bustling local village market.
-
Afternoon: We head east of Siem Reap to explore the Roluos Group: Bakong, Preah Ko, and Lolei. Built in the 9th century by King Indravarman I, these structures mark the site of Hariharalaya, the very first Khmer capital. Visiting these beautiful, less-crowded temples offers a fascinating look into the earliest days of Angkorian architecture. Afterward, we will transfer you safely back to your hotel.
Day 3: Magnificent Angkor Wat, Banteay Srei & Pre Rup
-
Departure: 7:30 AM
-
Itinerary: We will pick you up early to visit the magnificent Angkor Wat, the largest and most famous ancient temple in Cambodia.
-
Next Stops: We will continue our journey to the majestic pyramid temple of Pre Rup and the fortified complex of Banteay Samre. To conclude the day, we will visit the world-famous temple of Banteay Srei (the Lady Temple). Built in the 10th century, its intricate pink sandstone carvings are widely celebrated as the crown jewel of classical Khmer art.
Day 4: Angkor Thom City, Bayon, Preah Khan & Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider)
-
Morning: We enter the ancient walled city of Angkor Thom through its majestic South Gate (or Victory Gate). At the heart of the city, we will explore the iconic Bayon Temple, famous for its enigmatic, giant stone faces. From there, we will take a shaded walk through Baphuon, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
-
Afternoon: We move on to explore the massive, labyrinth-like complex of Preah Khan. Finally, we will visit the peaceful, hidden gem of Ta Nei before ending our tour at the legendary Ta Prohm. Famously known as the “Tomb Raider” or “Jungle Temple,” Ta Prohm is left largely as it was found, with massive tree roots beautifully gripping the ancient stone walls.
